A few weeks late (March has been such a busy month!) but it was an honor to be named one of the winners of Washington City Paper’s essay contest about being a DC native. You can read all four winners’ essays (including mine) here: https://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/news/article/21049088/dc-natives-on-dc
Rooted in Rights: Featured Disability Rights Activist
Excited to announce I'm a Rooted in Rights featured disability rights activist! The profile on my work, written by the wonderful Alaina Leary, can be found here: https://www.rootedinrights.org/activist-spotlight-lillie-lainoff-writer/
Official Representation
In June I signed up for a Writer’s Digest tutorial called, “You Want to Get Published? Learn How to Write a Great Query and First Chapter Boot Camp.”
After being assigned to an agent, we watched video tutorials before editing our query letters, synopses, and first chapters before sending the material. This was my first time participating in one of these tutorials, but I was thrilled when the agent I was assigned to showed interest in my work - and around a month later, I was offered representation!
As of a few days ago, I’m now officially represented by Nicole and Jennifer at The Seymour Agency. I’m so excited to work with two agents who love The Keeping House just as much as I do.
