Upcoming Publication News

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll have a short story in the upcoming Young Adult horror anthology, THESE BODIES AIN’T BROKEN, out October 7th from Page Street. The anthology features disabled authors writing stories that center disabled characters, rather than painting them as the villains. I’ve waited to write this particular story since my final year of undergrad (and yes, it will have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome rep, as well as chronic pain rep). I can’t wait to share it with all of you. THY CREATURE is a gender-bent remix of Frankenstein, in which you wake to find yourself brought back to life by your pre-med/engineer major boyfriend, but your body, seemingly yours and not yours all at once, is disabled. As you learn to navigate your new normal, memories of the night of your accident—and the truth behind your death—lead you down a dangerous path, one in which you must question everything… and trust no one.

The anthology has already received blurbs from incredible authors like Andrew Joseph White, Aiden Thomas, Ellen Oh, and many more… and it received a starred review from Kirkus Reviews. It’s also a Reactor most-anticipated YA SFF/H pick for September/October. You can purchase TBAB via the links on my website (underneath the Anthologies tab), but I highly recommend preordering it from your favorite local independent bookstore. You can also add it on Goodreads/Storygraph/your reading review site of choice!

And, in 2027 (I know, a long wait!) I’ll make my Middle Grade debut in BOUNDLESS, an anthology focusing on disabled joy, published by FSG BYR and edited by Marieke Nijkamp. I’ve had so much fun learning more about writing in this age category. And to bring more POTS rep to a variety of age categories is a dream come true.
